SquarePeg is the data controller for personal information collected through our platform and intake survey. You can reach us at hola@spg-world.com. SquarePeg is based in Colombia; if you are located in the EU/UK or another jurisdiction with its own data-protection law, that law's rights may also apply to you alongside what's described here.
Contact details (name, email, destination city/country), context info (situation type, length of stay), intake survey answers, scheduling availability, academic progress and scores, class audio/video recordings and their transcripts (where applicable), and payment confirmations you report in the platform.
We use your data to: design and deliver your learning plan, assign a teacher and schedule, track your progress, generate teaching feedback (including AI analysis of class recordings, visible only to the teaching team), confirm payments, and communicate with you about your account.
We use external providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), OpenAI (audio transcription via Whisper), Anthropic (text analysis via Claude), and Resend (email delivery). These providers may store or process data outside your home country; they only receive the data strictly necessary to provide each service.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data; ask how it's used; and withdraw consent for future data collection (e.g. class recordings) at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
Recordings and transcripts are used solely for teaching feedback between your teacher and the SquarePeg academic team; students do not view them directly inside the platform. You can request deletion of a specific recording or withdraw consent for future recordings at any time.
We retain your data while you hold an active account or as needed for the purposes described above. We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
